Why buy from us

Fernhill started in a garage at the foot of the Cascades, repairing tents and resoling boots for local climbers. Two decades later we still test every product on the same trails that shaped us.

Our gear is chosen for durability first. We'd rather sell you one jacket that lasts ten winters than three that last one. Every item comes with lifetime repairs at cost.

We partner with small manufacturers who pay fair wages and use recycled or responsibly sourced materials wherever possible, and we publish our supplier list every year.

Not sure what you need? Our staff are hikers, paddlers and climbers. Send us a note through the contact page with your trip plans and we'll put together a kit list.

Shipping is free on orders over $75 within the continental US. Returns are accepted within 60 days on unused items, and within a year on anything that fails in the field.
